Captain Phillips (2013)
Richard Phillips is the captain of the ship, a small container ship that was sailing in the vicinity of Somalia. This country has only recently gained independence, whereas it was previously a colony, so there are no special hints of order and legality. The container ship was attacked by local pirates. When the boat was just approaching the ship, the captain called for reinforcements and ordered all systems to be de-energized, and all crew members to hide.<br />
When the pirates stepped on board, they could not find anyone except the captain. The Somalis left the ship with Richard Phillips as a hostage, while the rest of the crew remained safe. The middle-aged captain will have to stay in captivity for a long time, negotiating with the invaders, while the capture group moved to help the crew members.<br />
After making sure that everything is in order with the ship, the navy seals go to the rescue of Captain Phillips. While the main character is enduring all the hardships of captivity, the military is developing a plan, since it is necessary not just to destroy the pirates, but to release the hostage unharmed. The pirates have nothing to lose and they are ready to fight to the very end, despite the advantage of the Americans in numbers and weapons. Richard can only hope that everything goes well and he can be pulled out of the dangerous place where he found himself.<br />
